IllumiNaughty on tour: The big top is about to explode as the world’s biggest circus unleashes chaos in Manchester, London and Bristol
The world’s most vibrant and psychedelic circus isn’t just coming to town – it’s going on its first ever UK tour. IllumiNaughty has London, Bristol and Manchester in its ultraviolet sights for the next deliciously sinister festival, where it aims to showcase a spectacle like no other.
- IllumiNaughty presents Underworld: Manchester 28.10.2017
- IllumiNaughty November Reign: London 17.11.2017
- IllumiNaughty The Voyager: Bristol 9.12.2017
But don’t expect any smiling clowns and magicians at this circus – IllumiNaughty’s Big Top is ready to explode for its next chapter, Underworld. A follow on from last year’s successful Day of the Dead Halloween spectacular, Underworld will be upping the ante with stunning visuals and mesmerising performances across six themed arenas.
The IlluminNaughty crew are known for not exactly doing things by halves, and this time will be no different, seeing the return of the event’s best loved characters who will once again be running amock and creating chaos through the night and into the early hours.
Follow the Goblin as he tries to save the Queen of the Damned from the Mad Doctor who captured her at the last event, leaving her to the wrath of the underworld. As the drama unfolds, a tribe of top DJs will be building an electric atmosphere across the six arenas: Dracula’s Castle (psy trance), The Lab (drum n bass), The Coven (breaks), The Garden (dub), The Dome (chill out), and The Cantina (electrónica).
In addition, expect bumper cars, an outdoor fun fair, live art exhibition, retro arcade, laser quest, confetti
cannons, fire and pyrotechnics, matrix laser show, market area and food court. Event organiser Lefteris Angelidis said:
“As ever at IllumiNaughty we’re always looking to go that bit further with our events. And this time we’ve come up with our most challenging and exciting chapter yet. We’ve come so far in a relatively short time, but for this event we wanted to not only step up to the next level, but bounce over it – and going on tour seemed like the best way to do that.”
Founded in 2006 at The Zoo in Manchester, the event, by Stockport-based company Visual Architects, has gone from a one-room club to multi-room festival in just 11 years. Lefteris said:
“What makes IllumiNaughty so special compared to other events is that the music is only part of it. The characters we’ve developed and the storylines that weave into the event are just as important, along with the fairground rides and games. When people come to an IllumiNaughty party, our sole aim is to give people the wow-factor, and thanks to an amazing team at Visual Architects, we know we can deliver every time.”
