Breaking Convention 2017: Call for Papers, Volunteers, and Artists
Following the success of the Breaking Convention conferences in 2011, 2013 and 2015, the technicolor flag of international psychedelia will be hoisted once again over the weekend of 30 June – 2 July, 2017. Breaking Convention 2017 will be held at the beautiful, baroque Old Royal Naval College campus of the University of Greenwich.
Breaking Convention is a volunteer-run enterprise; neither the Directors nor the extended team receive any salary. If you wish to become involved in Breaking Convention 2017, please get in contact with the team via their Participation Page. Participation at #BC17 can take many forms: Would you like to present a paper on your latest psychedelic research and work? Perhaps you’re an artist and would like to display, run a workshop, or create an installation? Done a new film documentary? Why not screen it this June?
If you’d also like to get involved as a volunteer, helping the Breaking Convention team put on this brilliant event, then please do also follow the link to the Participation Page, which includes all the details and contact forms you’ll need. It promises to be another extraordinary event, and we hope to see you all there! In the meantime, we’ve recently published a special edition of the Psychedelic Press journal featuring speakers from the last event:
The Gaia Project – Carl A. P. Ruck
The Permission of Vó Nadir – Alberto Groisman
