Gateways Of The Mind Will Take You on a Shamanic Journey this November
The final line up of speakers has now been announced for next month’s two day exploration into Shamanic Consciousness: Gateways of the Mind, November 8th and 9th at the Tabernacle, London.
Attendees will be taken on a voyage through the gateways of their mind and guided by the various teachers, musicians and artists that Archetype Events have carefully brought together.
The weekend has been divided into two very distinct parts. The journey will commence on Saturday with Davina MacKail – a Shamanic Seer trained in the Peruvian Qu’ero tradition as well as traditions from Ireland, North America & Brazil, who will open the event by calling in the four directions and creating the space for the journey to begin. From there she will deliver her brand new talk: ‘Why the Exploration of Consciousness is so vital to our species survival – it’s time to wake-up, and see the plan of the plants for the planet’
Tibetan Buddhist lucid dreamer and lucid dream teacher, Charlie Morley, will then present the first of three ‘Tales from the Frontier’ where he will outline how one of his own lucid dream experiences has helped him to become more mindful in his daily life, and helped him with his own dream practice. Afterwards, Sufi Master and transpersonal psychotherapist, Nigel Hamilton, will lead the group deep into the dream world of the Sufi tradition.
The afternoon session will then start with a deep meditative sound journey to calm the mind and allow for some sound healing to take place before prolific OBE explorer, and founder ofConscious Explorers – Caz Coronel – brings us another ‘Tale from the Frontier’. This time, on using OBE’s to overcome fear in the waking state.
The first half of the journey will then be completed by Shamanic practitioner, and founder ofMovement Medicine, Ya’Acov Darling Khan. Ya’Acov will demonstrate the importance of being grounded when carrying out a spiritual practice, and how the use of movement can be a great aid in this. As an additional add-on workshop Ya’Acov will also lead a special evening event that will further take people into deep space. Details on that can be found at http://gatewaysofthemind.com/workshops/movement-medicine
The Sunday part of the journey will then take you to a place that is so often in our culture too shrouded in fear to be spoken about or acknowledged – death and the afterlife. These are uncomfortable and even taboo topics for some and this next session sets out to demonstrate that not only is there nothing to be afraid of in dying, it is indeed out of the fear of death that the drive to pursue happiness through ideals such as consumerism and capitalism arise.
Drs. Penny Sartori & Peter Fenwick who are two of the world’s leading authorities on near-death-experiences will show their research, which has helped throw new light on the phenomena of NDEs. Then the Head of the International Academy of Consciousness, UK, and Out of Body Explorer, Analaura Trivellato will complete the trio of Frontier tales by showing how a positive outlook on life can be found when the nature of death is understood through a particular perspective.
Dogon Priest & Spiritual Activist, Naba Shenmira Iritah, will then take the concept of dying to a new level and show how Kemetic traditions dating back thousands of years, to the time of the Pharaohs and beyond, can prepare one for the afterlife. After lunch Bwiti initiate, musician and artist, Ben Taylor, will bring the sounds and energy of the Bwiti and the Iboga plant from the Gabon into our journey, and set the scene for the final instalment of the weekend’s immersion.
Completing the circle will be biologist and author, Rupert Sheldrake, as he demonstrates his ideas of the joining of collective memory and morphic resonance with rituals. He will speak on the need to connect with our ancestors in order to complete our journey from one life into the next.
The entire weekend will be very interactive with the presenters taking the whole audience through collective group exercises as a gift of their knowledge to attendees, who can then use those techniques to enhance their own spiritual paths as the ever deeper journey into the mysteries continue.
Much more than a conference or an event, Gateways Of The Mind, is both an inspirational learning and healing journey that will leave the attendee in a place of deep wonderment, while feeling better equipped to navigate dreams and desires, as well as every day life, like captains of souls through gateways of mind.
Gateways Of The Mind – London 2014 will take place at The Tabernacle, Notting Hill, on the 8th & 9th November. Limited tickets and full info on the event can be found at: www.gatewaysofthemind.com/london
