I&#039;m not sure whether Andy Letcher trying shrooms has anything to do with a look at the cultural evidence of magic mushroom use (which is the premise of the book and is clearly achieved.) The tone, I guess, maybe construed as arrogant but I strongly believe if you have any experience reading academic writing then you&#039;ll find this is the norm. It&#039;s not a personality piece as such, essentially there is no author behind the words, it is just a well recognized style of writing. Obviously not a style you enjoy reading though, which is fair enough.</description>
